TESTIMONIALS
“Holly allows us to explore our individual style while encouraging us to push the envelope in order to achieve excellence in our paintings. I always look forward to her classes.”
Southern France
I led a group of American artists to explore Plein air painting abroad. Plein air art captures the essence of a landscape or subject by incorporating natural light, color, and movement into the work.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How long does it take to do a commission work?
Every commission is different. Size, subject, and availability all dictate the timeline and price of a piece.
If it’s possible, I prefer to shoot my own photos of your favorite subject. Pieces like pet portraits (crowd favorites around the holidays!) generally take one month to complete. Projects that are larger in scope, like special anniversary pieces or works that require multiple photo references, take longer.
- What is your shipping policy?
I’m happy to ship works anywhere in the United States. I use a professional shipping business to pack and ship my paintings for safe travels. I will contact you to give you an exact quote for shipping.
I also offer free local pick-up at the Art Group Gallery in Little Rock, AR.
- What’s your favorite thing to paint?
Most always I’d answer that with “what’s on my easel right now” — but I love being outdoors the most, so lots of subjects come from nature like the sky, water, trees, flowers — and then there’s animals!
- Who owns the rights to original works?
I do. I reserve the right to do prints or reproductions of my original paintings. You may not copy or reproduce in any way.
- How long does it take to learn to paint?
Painting is a lifelong endeavor - the more you learn, the more you want to know. Everyone is different and some will pick up painting quicker than others.
